PIERRE BEYLIER BIOGRAPHY

1984 - 1988

Pierre graduated from ESG Business School in Paris and moved to the US to take part in the successful launch of Evian. He built the distribution network to cover health food stores and fitness centers.

1988 - 1992

He joined Caviar & Fine Foods, a sister company of the Caviar Kaspia, as the General Manager of the US operations.

Pierre learned everything about caviar sourcing and distribution, and earned major contracts with airline companies.

1992 - 1998

Pierre found a mentor in one of his customers, Leon Pinto from Gourmand, Inc. Leon was one the first specialty food importer in the US who worked closely with fine dining chefs looking for quality European ingredients.

Leon entrusted Pierre with opening a new distribution center in Los Angeles for Gourmand, Inc.

1998

Gourmand, Inc was purchased by the investment fund Evanston Partners.

That is when Pierre decided to leave to start his firm. He took over a small caviar company in Los Angeles and renamed it Petrovich Caviar.

1998 - 2003

Petrovich Caviar quickly became one of the most trusted food service caviar specialists, mainly selling to seafood and fine food distributors.

In 2003, Pierre expanded his portfolio and created a new company Savory Gourmet with three suppliers he used to work with at Gourmand, Inc.

2003 - 2013

Savory Gourmet steadily grew and added more and more product lines for culinary chefs, pastry chefs, mixologists and retailers.

In 2013, the company relocated into a large new warehouse strategically located between LAX airport and the port of Los Angeles.

2014 - 2022

Since 2014, Savory Gourmet has grown exponentially.

Charles Gauguin from Epicure Import joined the company as a sales executive and became General Manager and partner in 2021.
